Becoming a driving instructor

Looking to become a driving instructor or have an immenent check test? Need help choosing what you need?

You are required to pass 3 separate tests in order to become a driving instructor, commonly referred to as Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

Part 1 comprises of a multiple choice theory test and hazard perception test.
Part 2 comprises of an extended practical driving test to assess your level of driving.
Part 3 comprises of a practical teaching test to assess your level of teaching ability.

Part 1 Products

Part 2 Products

As already mentioned, this is a test of your driving skills. If you read and apply the information contained in the suggested/recommended study pack, this will give you a good starting point.

Part 3 Products

This part of the examination is generally considered to be the hardest part and the most time consuming. Check Test Products

As a condtion of remaining on the register of ADI's, all driving instructors are required to take regular check tests, and are graded from 1 - 6, grade 6 being the highest. Assuming you have kept up to date with all the mainstream publications, the following products should prove useful in your quest to achieve a high grade.
