Summary

This training manual has been created and designed for use as a reminder to vehicle safety checks. The contents of the manual will assist drivers who would like to undertake an LGV driving course, also new drivers when first coming into the LGV driving industry and serve as a remind and revise check list to all other drivers.

Drivers of LGVs are looked on as some of the best drivers found on Britain's roads, even so, anyone can benefit from extra training. The rules governing vehicles are constantly changing and a driver can easily find him or her self on the wrong side of the law. Making good checks to your vehicle prior to going onto the public road will minimise the chances of you / your drivers, or the company ending up in a court of law and receiving a fine, a driving ban and even reduce the chances of your good company name being affected
